Jordan WrayBarrister & Solicitor
Jordan is a graduate of the University of Alberta Schools of Business and Law. After finishing business school in 1998, he had a successful career in corporate sales and commercial banking before deciding to make a substantial career change. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta in 2014 and articled at a mid-size downtown Edmonton firm before joining Kurie Queck LLP in 2015.
Jordan maintains a general practice, with a focus on Family law, Wills and Estates, Real Estate and Business Solutions. Jordan’s family law experience includes, divorce, separation, child custody and matrimonial property. His focus is on working with clients to find their own resolution through negotiation and settlement outside of court. He feels that couples are always better served if they control the outcome rather than a stranger deciding how they should live their lives. That said, Jordan is a zealous advocate for his clients in court if settlement is not possible. With his commercial business and banking background, Jordan brings a unique perspective to his family law practice as he is familiar with financial statements and the operation of businesses.
Jordan is also able to assist business clients with incorporations, purchase and sale agreements, contract review and real estate transactions, collections and related litigation.
Jordan is a member of the Canadian Bar Association Family Law, Wills and Estates and Real Property sections.
Outside of the office Jordan spends time with his wife, two young children and his dog. He loves to play hockey and golf and be on the water windsurfing if time allows.
